How spirituality affects the prevention and treatment of coronary heart disease

Abstract

Spirituality, which means believing in a superior and holy ruling force in life, is very important in health, and today, due to the psychological problems caused by the corona virus, it is necessary to address the role of spirituality in human health. Different aspects of life as an important factor in creating a sense of hope and promoting adaptation and coping with coping with pain and suffering caused by diseases and dealing with existential crises caused by life-threatening diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of spiritual beliefs in promoting mental health, prevention and reduction of coronary heart disease disorders. The findings indicate that:
• Spiritual actions aimed at improving skills and social support can strengthen positive emotions and hope for life and strive to be better, and increase health.
• Spiritual actions reduce feelings of depression and anxiety by increasing self-awareness and offering religious solutions to problems, and strengthen the sense of calm and increase the ability to deal with problems.
• Spirituality strengthens the therapist's emotions by relieving emotions full of stress and can have a positive effect on the immune, cardiovascular, and nervous systems.
• Spiritual interventions improve the quality of life by changing patients' attitudes toward life or disease, and as a result, it will be easier to accept the conditions of the disease.
