Abstract

This study seeks to explain the confrontation between Islam and arrogance from the perspective of imagination, based on the statement of the second step of the revolution and by using concept of political imagination tries to find a way to new Islamic civilization. After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini with his ingenious leadership placed Islam on a different orbit from the past and in the light of this creative innovation, by criticizing the experiences of Islam, put aside the barriers of the past and set a different role from the past for it. In fact, he created an imagination in which arrogant patriotic cosmopolitan values were challenged. The main question of this research is how to use the element of imagination to analyze the confrontation between Islam and arrogance to enter the new Islamic civilization. The theory of this study is indicating that upon the bedrock of political imagination, Islam finds the universal arrogance and through this, by entering the transnational arena, determines the realization and supply of the new Islamic civilization. This civilization does not follow the pattern of arrogant presentation of values and while accepting the multiplicity of values, seeks to create unity between them.
